Chapter Eighteen

Willa

As soon as they were in the bedroom, Sage scooped Willa back up into her arms—knees be damned, apparently—and laid her flat on the bed in a smooth movement. “Stupid tiny bed,” Sage grumbled.

They kissed as she wrapped her legs around Sage’s back, hooking her closer. Sage moved to kiss from Willa’s mouth to her neck, where she dragged her teeth and tongue down the sensitive skin there as her hands explored below, pushing her dress over her hips.

“Ooh, no bra,” Sage commented in a soft whisper.

Willa arched into the touch and Sage peeled her dress away in an effortless motion. Sage kneeled before her, surveying her bare torso and lacy underwear. “You’re so beautiful.” Sage’s hands moved over Willa’s bare curves, making goosebumps raise over every inch she touched.

She closed her eyes to stop herself from saying something to negate the compliment, like she usually would. Being on display in front of Sage Carson was less embarrassing than she’d have imagined, but it did make her feel a bit shy.

“Hey, look at me,” Sage said, her voice dipping low in command.

Willa opened her eyes, blinking up at Sage.

“You okay?” Sage asked.

Willa nodded. “Yeah, just… like, really naked. And you have a lot of clothes on.”

Sage nodded in understanding and pulled her shirt over her head. “Does this help?” Her abs flexed as she held herself up, removing each of her rings while staring down at Willa.

Willa watched the rings slip from Sage’s fingers, an act sexier than anything she’d ever seen before. The rings clinked together as Sage set them on the nightstand, then turned back to her.

Every inch of Sage’s body was taut and muscled and made for physical effort. Two tattoos colored her ribcage that Willa hadn’t noticed before—they must have been hidden by her sports bra. Willa reached for her, running her fingers over the divets where her ribs met her stomach, over the tattoos. “It’d help more if you weren’t wearing a bra,” Willa added.

Sage grinned, pulling her bra over her head. Her small breasts fit in Willa’s hands perfectly.

“Yeah, this is better,” Willa said. “Way better.”

“Shameless,” Sage said, leaning down again to nip at Willa’s neck.

“I believe the correct word was incorrigible.”

“Oh, I’ll show you incorrigible,” Sage teased, pressing her thigh against Willa’s center.

“Please do,” Willa said with a grin, which promptly fell from her lips, replaced by a moan of pleasure as Sage’s mouth lowered to her breast, sucking, her tongue flicking against her nipple. She dug her fingers into Sage’s short hair, pushing beyond every unsatisfied feeling after the past few weeks of tension between them. She tried to clear her mind, focusing instead on the muscles in Sage’s shoulders as her head dipped lower, grazing over the sensitive and ticklish parts of her stomach that Willa never let anyone near. Her hips bucked and she giggled. “Sorry, it tickles,” she said, taking a deep breath.

Sage lifted her head, her eyebrow raising in a cocky grin. “Oh, does it?” Her fingers brushed over the ticklish swell of her stomach and she kicked her legs.
